Razorpay boosts AI push with senior hires from Microsoft, Salesforce,…

Razorpay is hiring four senior engineering executives from Microsoft, Salesforce, Cred and Divyam.ai to build AI-driven financial infrastructure for businesses, reflecting its strategy to become an AI-first platform where payment systems make decisions rather than simply process transactions. Sudhir Reddy, CTO and co-founder of Divyam.ai, joins Razorpay to lead AI and data architecture, bringing nearly two decades of experience including leadership roles at Flipkart, Yahoo, and Symantec. The other three senior engineering leaders are Abhishek Agarwal, formerly a principal group engineering manager at Microsoft in Seattle; Bhavya Shivaprakash, formerly a senior director at Salesforce; and Anuj Mathur, formerly a senior director at Cred. Together, they bring expertise spanning AI, developer platforms, cloud infrastructure, and data engineering. Shashank Kumar, CTO and cofounder of Razorpay, said the next decade of financial infrastructure will require software that reasons, decides, and acts on behalf of businesses, demanding a fundamentally different engineering organisation. Praburam Rambadran, senior vice president of engineering, said the hires were made for depth, citing people who have shipped AI in high-stakes environments. The build-out began in September 2025, when Rambadran joined as senior vice president for engineering.
