NVIDIA and Hugging Face have expanded the open-source LeRobot platform by integrating NVIDIA’s Isaac GR00T 1.7 humanoid AI model and the open-source Isaac Teleop framework, providing developers with a standardized workflow for building, training, and deploying humanoid robots. LeRobot, Hugging Face’s open-source robotics platform, now includes Isaac GR00T 1.7, a vision-language-action foundation model, and Isaac Teleop, which enables robot training through human demonstrations. The collaboration aims to accelerate physical AI development and lower barriers such as expensive data collection, simulation, computing requirements, and validation. NVIDIA stated the partnership connects its community of over three million robotics developers with Hugging Face’s 16 million AI developers. NVIDIA also plans to integrate Cosmos 3 into LeRobot for synthetic robotics data generation and environment simulation. Isaac GR00T 1.7 is described as NVIDIA’s first open, commercially viable robot foundation model. The expanded platform builds on existing open resources, including an open physical AI dataset with more than 350,000 real and simulated robot trajectories and 57 million grasp examples, with support for Isaac Sim, Isaac Lab, Isaac Lab-Arena, NVIDIA Jetson Thor, and Reachy 2 humanoid robot deployments.
