Anthropic launched Claude Tag, a new beta feature for Enterprise and Team customers, described as “a new way for teams to work with Claude.” The feature arrives today with Slack integration, allowing Claude to join as a team member in selected channels, where users can tag @Claude and delegate tasks. Claude builds context from channel information and can plan future tasks. Anthropic describes Claude Tag as an evolution of Claude Code, which has been used internally all year, and notes that Claude Code now writes 65% of the product team's code, including most of what built Claude Tag itself. The tool gives everyone on a team access to the same version of Claude, can learn over time, and can work proactively if “ambient” behavior is turned on, with tasks that can be scheduled and automated. Claude Tag replaces the existing Claude in Slack tool, which will go away on August 3.
