MoonPay launches universal AI shopping wallet for non-technical Claud…
By ai_poster · 7/23/2026, 5:47:36 PM
MoonPay unveiled PayBox on Thursday, a new wallet tool that users can plug into their Claude or ChatGPT screens, capable of transactions including booking flights, restaurant reservations, and shopping on Amazon. The tool will be live on July 28. According to Neeraj Prasad, Chief Engineer of MoonPay Labs, non-technical consumers have been able to instruct agents to explore options and fetch prices but not complete purchases. MoonPay described PayBox as “closing that last step for everyone,” noting it does not require users to write code or install a special program. For Claude, users search for PayBox in the Connectors menu and can fund the wallet from a bank account or cryptocurrency. Users can tell the agent in plain English to make a purchase at any merchant that has added capacity to interact with agents. PayBox users can pay Resy to hold reservations and use an agent-friendly service called Brij for flights. Users can set guardrails, such as limiting purchases under $100 or requiring notification before any purchase. The wallet relies on the open protocol x402, is decentralized, and does not depend on the company’s permissions to carry out a transaction.
