Samsung Electronics has unveiled two additional designs for its "Intelligent Eyewear," developed in partnership with Google, confirming a launch within the year and expanding the lineup to four models. On July 22 (local time), at Galaxy Unpacked 2026 held at Old Billingsgate in London, Samsung revealed the new designs created in collaboration with Gentle Monster and Warby Parker. The Gentle Monster model features a black, slim frame, while the Warby Parker model is finished in a deep brown color. The hardware is equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 chip, and the battery supports up to 9 hours of use on a single charge, with the charging case enabling up to 7 additional full charges. According to market research firm Omdia, global AI glasses shipments surged 322% year-over-year to 8.7 million units last year, with Meta shipping 7.4 million units and capturing an 85.2% market share. Shipments are projected to surpass 15 million units this year. Choi Won-joon, Vice President and Head of the XR R&D Team at Samsung's MX Division, stated, "For smart glasses to be something consumers want to wear all day, they must be extremely light."
