The feature allows users to check on ongoing work and approve or stop tasks without interrupting their workflow. The update was announced through the official ChatGPT account on X, alongside a short demo video. The official post says the new shortcut will allow users to switch to voice while keeping their workflow uninterrupted. After Voice is turned on, users can monitor the progress of the work, approve tasks, or halt tasks while working on other tasks. The feature is designed to improve desktop multitasking. The official ChatGPT account introduced the feature with the tweet: “Your pets have a new way to ChatGPT Voice.” Voice users just have to click the pet image in the desktop app, the company said. The shortcut, as seen in the desktop version of the app, is demonstrated in a video posted with the announcement. There are no additional requirements for using the feature stated in the post by OpenAI. The news was met with some reactions from users on X; one user responded that they had been waiting for such a feature as easier access to Voice. The announcement was made straight from the verified ChatGPT account, making it official that the shortcut will now be included in the desktop app experience.
