CADDi, the global technology company behind the CADDi Manufacturing AI Data Platform, announced a $114 million Series D round at a $1.2 billion valuation, bringing its total funding to $234 million. Headquartered in Chicago and Tokyo, CADDi structures fragmented manufacturing data — engineering drawings, procurement records, supply chain information — into a shared semantic layer that lets human and AI workflows draw on the same context. Founded in 2017, the company operates across Japan, the U.S., Vietnam and Thailand, serving manufacturers that include some of the largest publicly traded companies in both markets. Co-founder and CEO Yushiro Kato previously worked at McKinsey & Company, and co-founder Aki Kobashi studied electrical engineering at Stanford, built data processing systems at Lockheed Martin in coordination with NASA and JAXA, and later worked as an engineer on the iPhone and AirPods at Apple. Eight investors participated: new investors Moore Strategic Ventures, Coreline Ventures, HR Tech Fund, Woven Capital and Salesforce Ventures, alongside existing backers Atomico, Globis Capital Partners and JPS Growth Investment. The company plans to use the funds for proprietary AI development, expanding the Manufacturing AI Data Platform, growing its North America-centered global operations, and talent acquisition. Alongside the funding, CADDi previewed its next-generation product lineup for its U.S. launch: CADDi Explorer, a manufacturing discovery engine succeeding CADDi Drawer; and CADDi Agent, an AI agent that analyzes manufacturing
