Three companies are pitching publishers on AI-driven tools this year, each targeting a different part of the acquisition and marketing pipeline. Spain's Alighieria is preparing to launch Publisher OS, extending its existing editorial tools into rights, royalties, and finance administration; its client base splits between Spanish-language trade and academic publishers, including Anagrama and Trotta, and it has recently expanded into Mexico and Argentina, now running pilots with several major English-language publishers. Germany's Lit-X, co-founded by Lars Leipson and Sebastian Hermanns, has built its platform around identifying internationally trending titles for possible licensing, pulling data from Amazon, Goodreads, and social platforms, tracking mentions from 12,800 book influencers and 2.5 million posts; titles are scored on a "trend momentum" scale, and the company charges a flat enterprise subscription. New Zealand's Narrative Muse, co-founded by Brough Johnson and Teresa Bass, runs a consumer recommendation engine alongside a separate reader-analytics dashboard for publishers and self-published authors.
