A Tesla driven by Sharada Naganur of Princeton, New Jersey, crashed into a support pillar outside a Victoria’s Secret store at the Tanger Outlets in Hershey, Pennsylvania, on June 21, according to police in Derry Township. Naganur, the only occupant, reported no injuries. She told officers the 2026 Tesla was parked or being parked near a grassy median when it suddenly jumped the curb and began moving on its own, striking a small tree and three parked vehicles before she steered left into the pillar. Whether any Tesla driver-assistance system was active remains unclear. The incident follows a Texas crash where a Model 3 allegedly on Autopilot drove into a woman’s home, killing her; Tesla CEO Elon Musk and the company’s AI chief said data showed the driver pinned the accelerator the entire way, hitting the house at 73 mph (117 km/h).
