Central Sanskrit University has introduced a four-year BTech programme in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science at its Nashik campus for the 2026–27 academic session. The AICTE-approved course is the first engineering programme offered by a Sanskrit university in India. It aims to combine modern AI education with Sanskrit and Indian Knowledge Systems, covering subjects such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Natural Language Processing, Deep Learning, and Computational Linguistics. Students will also work on AI tools for Sanskrit and Indian languages, as well as the digitisation and preservation of ancient manuscripts. With an intake of 66 seats, the course is designed to prepare students for emerging technology careers while promoting interdisciplinary research that connects AI with traditional Indian knowledge systems.
