The drama “Agent Kim Reactivated,” which has surpassed a 21% viewership rating in just four episodes, is making headlines as the entire sequence depicting So Ji-sub’s past was produced using AI. On the 9th, Morpheus Studio announced that approximately three minutes of footage showing the past of Kim, the protagonist (played by So Ji-sub), was entirely created using AI, marking the first instance in Korean drama history. The AI footage, broadcast across episodes 1 and 2, depicts the protagonist infiltrating North Korea to carry out a special mission, including scenes of detonating a building, a high-speed car chase, a vehicle rollover, a car plunging through a guardrail into a river, underwater scenes, and the recovery of the submerged vehicle. The footage maintains character consistency without constraints, delivered through close-up shots. Ryu Jae-hwan, Vice President of Morpheus Studio, emphasized that the project replaced an entire sequence crucial to the story’s completeness with AI, proving AI can be a powerful creative tool for creators with strong concepts. The SBS Friday-Saturday drama airs every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 p.m.
