According to the South China Morning Post on July 23, Chinese exports are shifting from low-cost electronics toward advanced technologies like AI models, software, and data center components. In the first half of this year, integrated circuit exports reached 177.3 billion dollars, up 96% year-on-year; computer and automatic data processing equipment exports rose 41% to 138.1 billion dollars; and industrial robot exports increased 18% to 929 million dollars, shipped to 141 countries. Chinese generative AI startup MiniMax generated 57.7 million dollars in revenue outside mainland China last year, 2.7 times the previous year’s 21.3 million dollars, accounting for 73% of its total sales. Logistics robot company Geek+ saw overseas sales account for over 75% of its revenue last year, with 80% of new orders from the Americas and other markets. Optical module makers Zhongji InnoLight and Eoptlink each earned over 90% of their revenue from overseas markets last year, with Zhongji deriving over 57% from U.S. big tech firms.
