TruVideo announced it is now compatible with AI glasses from Meta, enabling automotive and trucking service technicians to start and stop service and inspection video recording solely with hands-free voice commands. According to TruVideo, the technology lets technicians inspect, verify, and log any service needed directly through voice command, saving dealerships time and avoiding costly mistakes. While TruVideo customers have already been using AI glasses from Meta in the field, the new capability delivers greater transparency and a better customer experience. Co-Founder and CTO Douglas Chrystall said TruVideo worked closely with the Meta AI glasses team for the past few months and built the technology to fit how dealerships actually run, since it wasn't ready out of the box for automotive technician and sales workflows. TruVideo's integration with DMS platforms used across auto and commercial truck dealerships means transcription from Meta's AI glasses technology drops seamlessly into existing dealership processes. After the launch of the voice-based Meta AI glasses, TruVideo plans to introduce an intelligent voice assistant that understands each vehicle's service history and guides technicians step by step. Support on AI glasses is available now to select TruVideo customers.
