HIVE Digital Technologies Ltd CEO Aydin Kilic discussed the company's upsized US$115 million zero-coupon exchangeable note offering, originally launched at US$100 million, which will accelerate HIVE's AI infrastructure, GPU cloud and HPC ambitions. Kilic noted the financing offers a low-cost source of capital to support HIVE's scaling strategy, with proceeds earmarked to help finance future GPU acquisitions, including a recent agreement with Cohere involving around 2,300 NVIDIA GPUs and another significant GPU opportunity in the pipeline. The discussion also covered HIVE's Boden, Sweden facility, where municipal approval to purchase the land marks a major milestone in converting the site into a Tier III HPC data centre, with financing helping fund long-lead equipment for that upgrade. Kilic stated, "People always value time and money, and that applies in the world of AI and compute. Everybody wants compute now," and highlighted the appeal of long-term HPC contracts over the cyclical nature of crypto mining for stable cash flows and long-term value creation.
