CHA Biotech has been selected for the Ministry of Science and ICT's "AI Transformation (AX) One-Stop Voucher" program, securing government funding worth 2.6 billion won ($1.7 million) to automate the drafting and validation of regulatory documents for cell therapy development using generative AI. The company will establish a consortium with Naver Cloud, Persona AI, and MediPlus to develop a generative AI-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform. Naver Cloud will provide high-performance cloud infrastructure, Persona AI will develop AI solutions and build the platform, and MediPlus will handle data structuring and quality validation. The consortium aims to reduce delays in processing documents and data throughout the cell therapy lifecycle, focusing on applying AI to chemistry, manufacturing, and controls (CMC) regulatory documentation. The platform will consolidate documents stored across multiple repositories and automate document preparation and review processes, leveraging a CMC-specialized large language model (LLM), four core validation agents, and AI operations (AIOps) technologies. "We plan to build an automated system that structures dispersed document data and supports the entire regulatory documentation process, from drafting to validation," said Yoon Seok-hwan.
