Macquarie Asset Management will finance billions of dollars of new data centres in the United States for Anthropic, owner of the Claude artificial intelligence model, as the technology giant seeks more computing power before a $1.4 trillion public listing. Singapore sovereign wealth fund GIC, which is already funding US data centres in partnership with Nasdaq-listed developer Equinix and the Canadian Pension Plan Investment Board, will also contribute financing to the new venture, named Theseus Infrastructure.
