The South Korean government plans to announce its "2045 national strategy" within this year, focusing on strengthening stability in power supply and demand, securing AI competitiveness, and establishing security sovereignty in strategic technologies. On the 12th, the second meeting of the Korea 2045 Strategy Establishment Committee was held at Government Complex Seoul in Jongno-gu, Seoul, chaired by Prime Minister Han Seong-sook, to discuss public outreach and the 2045 future vision. A Delphi survey of 39 experts identified 17 tasks as both highly important and urgent, including AI competitiveness, power supply stability, strategic technology security, future growth engines, pension and welfare reform, workforce development, fiscal investment, regulatory innovation, and youth employment opportunities. The National Future Strategy Research Committee proposed "an innovative leading nation" as the 2045 vision, diagnosing Korea's "dual bottleneck" state of "high input, low conversion" and "high capability, low legitimacy." The committee presented two pillars: an innovation transition combining semiconductors, AI data centers, and physical AI with balanced national development under a five hubs, three special zones model, and a social transition toward a new social operating system. Prime Minister Han stated the strategy must be pursued by all people together, not only the government.
