Jharkhand seeks AI partnerships with Google, Microsoft, Oracle and IBM

The Jharkhand government on Tuesday held a series of meetings with global technology companies, including Google, Microsoft, Oracle, IBM and Amazon Web Services (AWS), to explore partnerships for artificial intelligence (AI)-based governance, digital infrastructure, cloud computing and workforce development as part of its Vision 2050 initiative. The Business-to-Government meetings were held on the sidelines of the National Stakeholders Consultation on Vision 2050, chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren. Google discussed the use of AI in governance, healthcare, emergency response systems, language technologies and digital skilling, proposing an AI training and certification programme for three to four lakh K-12 teachers. Oracle expressed interest in partnering on AI, cloud computing and digital skilling. Microsoft discussed developing a unified AI-driven data intelligence platform to integrate information across government departments. IBM proposed AI-based solutions for mining, healthcare, banking and cybersecurity, offering a proof of concept for AI-enabled governance solutions. AWS discussed collaboration on secure cloud infrastructure, AI-powered data integration, digital governance, Direct Benefit Transfer, education and centralised decision-making dashboards.
