How Investors Are Reacting To Paychex (PAYX) Integrating WISE Into Mi…

On 3 August 2026, Paychex, Inc. announced that its AI-powered workforce intelligence engine, WISE, is now integrated into Microsoft 365 Copilot and Teams, extending its human capital management capabilities across SurePayroll, Paychex Flex, and Paycor. The move expands Paychex’s channel-agnostic ecosystem approach, embedding workforce insights into partner workflows to reduce friction and support faster decision-making. The integration reinforces the AI and automation catalyst but does not materially change near-term focus on Paycor integration risk as the key swing factor. The WISE rollout aligns with its earlier launch as a unified AI engine in May 2026. Paychex’s narrative projects $7.6 billion revenue and $2.4 billion earnings by 2029, requiring 5.3% yearly revenue growth and about a $0.6 billion earnings increase from $1.8 billion today. Forecasts yield a $109.57 fair value, a 9% downside to its current price. Before this news, the lowest analysts were cautious, assuming about US$7.6 billion of revenue and US$2.3 billion of earnings by 2029, and seeing longer enterprise sales cycles as a key drag.
