AMD Ryzen announced an expanded collaboration with Hugging Face for its Ryzen AI Halo developer platform, revealed during the Advancing AI 2026 conference. The partnership aims to enhance the platform's software ecosystem by providing optimized open-source AI models, libraries, and development toolkits. AMD will offer built-in compatibility with popular open-source AI frameworks, including LangGraph, LlamaIndex, and Smolagents. The collaboration also includes optimized llama.cpp kernels and software to boost AI inference capabilities. Additionally, every Ryzen AI Halo Developer Platform will come bundled with a one-year subscription to Hugging Face PRO. The initiative is designed to simplify local AI development by reducing the effort required to set up AI workflows, allowing developers to spend more time building applications while leveraging the Hugging Face ecosystem on AMD's platform.
