Korea Deep Learning said on the 5th that it had completed a proof-of-concept test of financial task automation technology with Shinhan Vietnam Finance Co. (SVFC) through Shinhan Futures Lab Vietnam, Shinhan Financial Group's global startup incubation platform. The test was carried out as part of a global open innovation project hosted and organized by Shinhan Bank Vietnam and the Seoul Business Agency (SBA), which connects South Korean startups with Vietnamese financial institutions to validate technologies needed for local financial operations. Korea Deep Learning used Deep Agent, its in-house AI task automation solution, which runs on Deep OCR, which recognizes and extracts required information from documents, and Deep Parser, which analyzes document structure and organizes the data. The test examined whether the system could extract and organize document data required for financial operations in Vietnam and link that output to downstream task automation. The results earned the company the Global Shinhan InnoBoost Open Innovation Reward. The company plans to use the test as a springboard to expand into overseas financial markets, including Vietnam, develop solutions tailored to the operating environments of local financial institutions, increase cooperation with overseas companies, and broaden the application of its AI task automation technology beyond finance into a range of other industries. Kim Dong-hyun, chief strategy officer at Korea Deep Learning, said, "We showed the capability to connect information recognition and data processing technology to actual task automation," and "We expect this achievement to further expand our business opportunities in the global market."
