AutoRek has acquired Grath to integrate AI-powered reconciliation and compliance tools into its enterprise platform. The deal introduces Topa, an API-accessible AI infrastructure, enabling financial institutions to deploy automated matching engines and agentic reasoning layers across private cloud, multi-tenant SaaS, or embedded environments. Firms can choose from three deployment routes: Enterprise Private Cloud using the AutoRek Intelligent Agent (ARIA) for complex, high-volume data; Multi-Tenant SaaS offering rapid-deploy governance aligned with FCA standards; and Embedded AI Infrastructure leveraging the Topa matching engine. Topa provides FS-trained machine learning models for automated exception handling, reducing manual burden on compliance teams. The acquisition supports international expansion, absorbing Grath’s US client base and operations in the UAE and Australia. Following the recent opening of a Miami regional office, the combined entity serves over 100 clients across 15 countries. "Customers want the benefits of AI delivered through governance, auditability and human oversight," said Chris Livesey, CEO of AutoRek. The acquisition addresses the "build vs. buy" dilemma by offering AI-powered reconciliation as embeddable infrastructure, catering to Tier-1 banks demanding architectural sovereignty.
