Google is working on a new animation for Circle to Search to align it with the Gemini overlay animation, featuring sparkling effects, tiny dots, and a glowing effect. In the latest Google app (v17.44.12.sa.arm64), the Gemini overlay animation now appears in Circle to Search. Google is also tweaking the Gemini Live overlay animation to make it sharper and clearer, with more visible dots around the edges. Additionally, the “Agent Dashboard” chip has been renamed to “Recents,” which better conveys its function of opening recent Gemini chats. However, Google has a history of testing new Circle to Search animations without releasing them in stable updates, so the timeline for public availability is uncertain. The new Gemini Live animation and the renamed “Recents” chip appear ready for release.
