Snapchat introduces Ads MCP Server for ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini

Snapchat has launched an Ads Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server that allows supported AI tools, including ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, to access authorised data from Snap Ads. The move is part of its plans for “human-first, AI-enabled advertising” and follows its earlier announcement that it would open its advertising platform to third-party AI agents through MCP. The Snapchat Ads MCP Server provides a Snap-hosted connection between the Snap Ads API and supported AI agents, letting advertisers use natural-language prompts to analyse campaign performance, identify trends, summarise active campaign performance, identify campaigns and ad sets with the biggest week-over-week changes, flag performance trends, review available diagnostics and suggest patterns from the previous 90 days. The connection is designed to reduce the need for advertisers to manually locate reports, export data, prepare spreadsheets or write technical API queries. Organisation Admins can control which supported AI agents connect to their organisation and the level of authorisation each agent receives. At launch, all connections are read-only; write capabilities will be introduced in an upcoming release. Granting access to one AI agent does not automatically provide the same access to another. The agent-level controls work alongside existing Organisation and Ad Account permissions in Ads Manager, and an AI agent cannot access information or perform actions beyond those permitted for the individual user.
