Saint-Gobain has signed a framework agreement with Microsoft focused on accelerating sustainable construction, boosting productivity, and supporting next-generation low-carbon data centers. The collaboration will leverage Microsoft’s digital and AI solutions to enhance Saint-Gobain’s growth, reinvent customer experiences, and pursue net-zero innovation, combining Saint-Gobain’s operational expertise with Microsoft’s digital capabilities to reduce CO₂ emissions and energy consumption across manufacturing facilities. The agreement also explores how Saint-Gobain can help Microsoft accelerate its data center buildout using integrated solutions such as prefabricated sandwich panels, fire-rated glazing, low-carbon concrete admixtures, and low-carbon glass. Saint-Gobain reports a strong pipeline with 1,085 projects in 32 countries at the specification stage, almost a two-fold increase compared to last year. Ursula Soritsch-Renier, Chief Digital and Information Officer of Saint-Gobain, said the agreement reflects the ambition to accelerate transformation through digital and AI technologies while strengthening leadership in sustainable construction. Declan McNulty, Vice President, Microsoft Cloud Operations and Innovation Global Contract Management, noted Saint-Gobain’s commitment to sustainable innovation aligns with Microsoft’s focus on responsible growth.
