President Donald Trump and his two sons have significantly expanded investments in AI and data center-related industries, according to a Washington Post analysis published on the 20th based on Trump's financial disclosure records and corporate announcements. Among roughly 30,000 stock transactions disclosed since Trump returned to office are purchases of shares in data center-related Dell Technologies, memory chip maker Micron Technology, and power equipment company GE Vernova, as well as Broadcom, Texas Instruments, Credo Technology, and Super Micro Computer. Trump also purchased shares in companies whose stock prices had fallen amid recent calls to slow AI development, though WP noted it is unclear whether he currently holds these shares. Donald Trump Jr. serves as a partner at Florida-based venture capital firm 1789 Capital, which recently raised a $1.2 billion fund focused on digital infrastructure real estate including AI data centers and has invested in Cerebras Systems, Perplexity, and Elon Musk's xAI. Eric Trump has invested in defense and robotics companies utilizing AI through American Ventures, and both sons participated in founding American Data Centers, which later merged with American Bitcoin. Trump Media & Technology Group announced a $6 billion merger with TAE Technologies in December 2025, targeting completion by the fourth quarter of this year, and is developing TruthAPI.
