Novo Nordisk and Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced a strategic partnership to accelerate drug discovery and modernize the Danish pharmaceutical group's operations through agentic AI and cloud technologies. As part of the agreement, they created a co-innovation hub in London, where engineers and scientists from both groups use AWS AI technologies and Novo Nordisk's data and analytics to boost productivity and reduce time to market for future medicines. The agreement establishes AWS as Novo Nordisk's preferred cloud provider and strategic AI partner. Novo Nordisk stated it has already achieved measurable results through its collaboration with AWS and believes the new agreement will create a solid foundation to turn ideas into new therapies for patients worldwide. Services such as Amazon Bio Discovery and Amazon Bedrock will be used to identify drug targets, design new therapies faster, and connect genomic, imaging, and clinical data so early research advances can shape clinical trial design. More broadly, Novo Nordisk is working with several subsidiaries of the US technology giant, including Amazon Pharmacy, Amazon Ads, and Amazon One Medical, to transform how new therapies are marketed and delivered to patients.
