NFD Korea is developing a 300 MW artificial intelligence (AI)-ready data center campus in Dangjin, South Korea, having secured the site, construction permits, and a 300 MW power supply agreement with Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO). The campus, designed for AI training and inference workloads, will be built in six phases, with the first phase targeting a Ready-for-Service date of the first quarter of 2028 and supporting liquid cooling and rack power densities of up to 160 kilowatts (kW). Jae Woo Choi, CEO of NFD Korea, stated that South Korea is at a critical inflection point for AI and cloud infrastructure demand. Separately, NFD Korea is building an 80 MW hyperscale data center in Yongin City, Gyeonggi Province, which broke ground in September 2025 and is scheduled to enter service in 2028. The South Korean data center market was valued at US$1.65 billion in 2025, estimated to grow from US$1.99 billion in 2026 to US$5.02 billion by 2031, at a CAGR of 20.38 percent, with IT load capacity expected to grow from 1.96 gigawatts (GW) in 2025 to 6.32 GW by 2030, at a CAGR of 26.29 percent.
