Nvidia Flags Brev Credential Exposure While Melius Trims Its Price Ta…

Nvidia has begun notifying users of its Brev cloud platform that unauthorized activity may have exposed sensitive data, including SSH keys tied to customer virtual machines, with the intrusion window running from October 4 to October 20; the company says it has since rotated the affected keys and that no evidence of misuse has surfaced so far. Separately, on October 28, Reuters reported that the U.S. Department of Justice had queried Nvidia over its planned $12.93 billion acquisition of Hugging Face, probing whether the deal would hand the chipmaker control of a key distribution channel for AI models. A day earlier, Nvidia agreed to invest $3 billion in Meta's equity offering, with the two companies widening their collaboration on Meta's Muse models and Meta planning to deploy more Nvidia infrastructure in its data centers. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure made the NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 systems and Vera CPUs generally available the same day, and both firms said they would scale OCI superclusters built on Vera Rubin to multiple gigawatts. On valuation, Melius Research lowered its Nvidia price target to $315 from $420 — a 25% reduction — while leaving its buy rating intact, citing financing risks over the AI build-out and valuation pressure rather than doubts about the business, with the chief hazard framed as a wave of new securities issuance. Nvidia shares have slipped 11% over the past 30 days.
