MAUM AI announced on July 24 that it had signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with Barquin International Corporation to enter the U.S. Physical AI market, starting with local pilot projects. The partnership will combine on-device AI, autonomous navigation and robotics technologies to identify industry-specific applications. Rather than simply exporting AI models and robots developed in South Korea, the company plans to identify operational needs among local governments and businesses, test its technologies in real-world environments and convert successful pilot projects into commercial contracts. The partnership is focused less on jointly developing new technologies than on gaining access to potential markets. Barquin will use its network of government agencies and businesses across the Americas to identify potential customers, deployment sites and commercial opportunities. The two companies plan to begin with market research and demand analysis before moving into technology validation, business model development and local partner recruitment. Public safety, smart infrastructure, manufacturing, logistics, facility management and service industries are among the sectors being considered for initial projects. No specific pilot site, contract value or implementation schedule has been announced.
