Malaysia’s Ministry of Digital and MyDIGITAL Corporation will co-host the AI Malaysia Takeover 2026 (AIMTO_26), a two-day event in Kuala Lumpur on August 11-12, to advance the country’s AI readiness and digital adoption. The event plans to engage policymakers, technology leaders, venture capitalists, developers, and the general public. It follows the inaugural ASEAN AI Malaysia Summit 2025, which drew more than 10,000 participants and convened digital ministers from six ASEAN member states, shifting focus from high-level dialogue to nationwide execution and practical AI skills. Minister of Digital Gobind Singh Deo is expected to launch the new Rakyat Digital portal at the event, co-organized by Ludic Asia and 500 Global. The portal, implemented by MyDIGITAL Corporation under Malaysia Digital 2030, will consolidate digital learning opportunities, future-ready skills, and AI resources on a single platform, supporting Malaysia’s ambition to become an AI nation by 2030. A key focus is Malaysia’s largest AI Learn-A-Thon, co-organized by 500 Global, Ludic Asia, Malaysia AI Residency, and KrackedDevs, with YTL AI Labs providing AI compute tokens through its Ilmu Chat platform.
