Fractal Analytics Group CEO Srikanth Velamakanni said the company's BFSI segment, currently in the low teens as a share of revenue, is expected to outpace other segments going forward. The Mumbai-based AI firm posted Q1FY27 revenue of ₹912.5 crore, up 9% year-on-year in constant currency terms. Velamakanni cited stronger traction for its agentic AI platform Cogentiq in BFSI, the appointment of a new FSI practice chief, and rising AI adoption in underwriting as key growth drivers. Fractal is acquiring new clients every seven to ten days. Following its listing on the stock exchanges earlier in February this year, the top 10 clients bring nearly 52% of its revenue, with consumer packaged goods and retail and healthcare and life sciences being its top two revenue segments, contributing 37.8% and 23.5% to its revenue, respectively. Velamakanni, who co-founded the company in 2000, noted the BFSI segment is "disproportionately small" for Fractal relative to other industries, adding that past execution was a factor.
