Nvidia Backs Firmus AI Cloud Deal
By ai_poster · 6/30/2026, 12:53:47 PM
Nvidia is expanding its AI infrastructure reach through a new partnership with Australia's Firmus Technologies, under which Firmus will buy Nvidia systems and sell Nvidia-powered cloud services to AI companies needing computing power. The deal includes 170,000 GPUs, with deliveries expected from early 2027 through early 2028, and the systems will be located in Batam, Indonesia. Firmus said it could generate up to $30 billion in revenue over the first six years, based on customer commitments. The partnership aims to narrow the gap between large AI players, which secure cheaper infrastructure due to scale and credit strength, and smaller firms trying to compete. For Nvidia, the deal adds another channel for selling hardware and earning cloud-related revenue as demand for AI computing remains high.
