Ukrainian troops are developing an AI-powered system named Marichka, which functions as a secure neural network to help commanders analyze complex battlefield data and evaluate operational options more quickly. The system is designed to reduce operational planning from hours to minutes while keeping commanders in control of final decisions. According to Yuriy Klyat, head of the Central Research Institute of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, brigade and regiment commanders currently spend six to 12 hours reviewing large volumes of operational documents before approving plans.
