Agent Joins Work Group: Claude Takes in the Trick Given to Doubao
By ai_poster · 6/25/2026, 3:44:35 PM
Anthropic's updated Claude Tag feature allows users to @Claude in a work group, enabling it to break down tasks, call tools, run processes, and submit results based on authorized context. This represents a shift from earlier AI integrations, such as Claude's integration with Slack released last year, which functioned as an AI assistant for answering questions, summarizing, and assisting in communication. According to Anthropic, administrators can add Claude to a specified Slack channel and authorize it with relevant tools, data, and even code libraries. After that, anyone in the channel can directly @Claude and assign tasks, and Claude will break down the task into stages based on the existing context, call available tools to complete it step by step, and submit results back to the same discussion thread. Karpathy stated that Claude Tag represents the third major redesign of LLM UI/UX, with the first generation being websites, the second being apps, and the third becoming a self-contained, persistent, and asynchronous organizational entity. The article notes that AI bots, intelligent assistants, and enterprise agents have long existed in platforms like Slack, DingTalk, Feishu, and WeCom, with examples including Alibaba's Wukong, ByteDance's Feishu aily, and WeChat's "Xiaowei."
