Wippi, a children's technology startup building conversational, screen-free products, announced it has raised $1.2 million in a seed funding round led by 12 Flags, with participation from Warmup Ventures, Ventana Ventures and Ruvento Ventures. The startup will use the funding to accelerate product innovation, strengthen its proprietary voice AI capabilities, expand engineering and AI teams, scale manufacturing in India and grow its direct-to-consumer business. It also plans to expand its portfolio of characters, languages and original content while reaching more than 15,000 families over the next twelve months. Founded by Rishabh Singhi and Siddhartha Jain, Wippi is developing screen-free, interactive storytelling products that combine voice AI, Character Cards, illustrated storybooks and Wippi Radio. The platform allows children to engage with narrators and characters such as Ram, Krishna, Alice, Cinderella and Aladdin by asking questions, making choices and influencing how stories unfold. Rishabh Singhi, Co-Founder of Wippi, said the investment enables the company to accelerate its vision and reach many more families. Rajat Agarwal, Partner and MD, 12 Flags, said Wippi’s screen-free and AI-led approach solves the modern parental dilemma of limiting screen-time while allowing AI into children’s lives. Siddhartha Jain, co-founder and CEO, added that the funding will help strengthen the proprietary AI platform and expand engineering capabilities for products designed in India.
