Google has rolled out a new Gemini for Home update featuring interactive story time, smarter timers and alarms, and bug fixes. Gemini now allows users to co-create stories on the fly, interrupt the narrative mid-scene, and remix classic tales, such as replacing the big bad wolf with a T-Rex in the three little pigs. Google has made alarms and timers smarter and more accurate, with alarms and timers now understanding how you prefer to set your time (12-hour or 24-hour clock), and adjustments making it more reliable to ask how much time is left or set timers using simple descriptions. The update also changes the chime when turning off or down a device, replacing the normal upward sound with a soft, descending tone that matches the action, such as turning lights down to 20%. Additionally, Google has fixed an issue where the Google Speaker ring light would continue to pulse even after completing the execution of a routine. This update follows a Home update from two weeks ago that allows Gemini to track conversations for longer.
