Amazon Quick Integrates Data for Conversational AI Analysis
By ai_poster · 11/4/2026, 4:14:42 PM
Amazon Web Services (AWS) has introduced a new capability within its Amazon Quick platform designed to bridge the gap between structured data, typically found in databases and spreadsheets, and unstructured data residing in documents, reports, and files, according to The Chenab Times. The integration aims to streamline complex data analysis workflows by allowing users to query both data types through a single conversational AI agent. The enhanced Amazon Quick experience enables users to connect structured data via enriched datasets and unstructured content through S3-backed knowledge bases, eliminating the need for multiple tools and manual correlation of results. The solution architecture is structured into three key layers: Data, Workspace, and Agent. The data layer comprises unstructured content stored in Amazon S3, indexed by a knowledge base, and structured data loaded as enriched datasets with semantic descriptions. The Workspace layer, known as a Space, consolidates these disparate data types into a single environment, referencing the knowledge base for unstructured queries and the datasets for structured queries. The Agent layer consists of a custom chat agent that connects to the Space and intelligently determines whether to query the knowledge base, the dataset, or both, providing combined responses with citations. Amazon Quick also integrates built-in AI guardrails, such as content safety screening, to enhance chat interactions.
