Meta plans to expand its enterprise AI offerings, including selling APIs, business agents, and compute directly to businesses, CEO Mark Zuckerberg said on the company’s second-quarter earnings call on July 29, 2026. Meta launched an AI agent for businesses in June, and its initial priority is to target its current advertiser community with AI agents that operate across messaging platforms and other channels. Zuckerberg said Meta will get paid when it delivers results for those businesses, describing the effort as an extension of its partnerships with many millions of advertisers and hundreds of millions of small businesses. Meta also plans to offer its internal coding, developing, and productivity tools to external customers later. On selling compute, Meta sees an opportunity to sell at "a significant premium over what we paid for it," but Zuckerberg cautioned that it "would be foolish" to liquidate all computing capacity for immediate gains, characterizing the strategy as a "portfolio" blending enduring and near-term plans. Beyond enterprise, Meta is promising consumers "personal AI agents" and AI-powered smart glasses, and is using large language models to accelerate development of its social apps, recently releasing apps for Marketplace vendors, Facebook Group managers, and vibe-coded games. Zuckerberg said he expects it to become easier to ship new apps and plans to build out more ideas using recommendation systems.
