In his remarks accompanying Alphabet's Q2 2026 earnings, CEO Sundar Pichai outlined a vision where AI is expanding Google's core businesses, as Alphabet reported 24% year-on-year revenue growth. Search & Other revenue increased 17%, and YouTube advertising revenue rose 13%. Pichai said the company combined AI Overviews and AI Mode into a single Search experience, and since AI Mode expanded globally last year, it has crossed one billion monthly active users. Search & Other revenue increased 17%, while YouTube Ads grew 13%. Pichai also highlighted that more than 1.7 billion unique viewers watched FIFA World Cup-related content on YouTube, and more than 140 million users interacted with Ask YouTube during June alone.
