Amazon Web Services announced expansions to Security Hub, adding purpose-built protection for AI workloads and security monitoring for Microsoft Azure. Security Hub now discovers Azure Virtual Machines, container images, Function Apps, and identities, evaluating them for misconfigurations, internet exposure, and software vulnerabilities with posture checks against the CIS Microsoft Azure Foundations Benchmark™. Azure findings are prioritized next to AWS findings using the same finding format, automation, and response workflows. Azure resources are priced at the same rates as equivalent AWS resources with no additional fees, with an independent 30-day free trial. For AI workloads, the update covers generative AI on Amazon Bedrock, model training on SageMaker, and agents orchestrating workflows through AgentCore. These expansions follow an earlier introduction of Security Hub Extended, which brought partner solutions across nine security categories.
