Samsung SDS has won the contract to deploy Google Cloud's enterprise AI platform, 'Gemini Enterprise,' for Samsung Electronics' Device Experience (DX) division, with the deal estimated at an annual value of 100 billion won (approximately $66.9 million). According to industry sources on the 14th, Samsung SDS was selected as the final contractor for the project, which will provide the platform to approximately 50,000 DX division employees across global operations. South Korean cloud MSPs Cloocus and ITcenCloit participated in the bidding. Samsung Electronics held a bid briefing on May 29 and accepted proposals until June 10, with results initially scheduled for June 16 but disclosed after a delay of nearly a month. The contract award comes roughly one month after Samsung SDS and Google Cloud signed a strategic partnership in April. On the 13th, Google Cloud announced the expansion of its collaboration with Samsung Electronics, calling it "the largest enterprise agentic AI deployment case in South Korea to date." The platform will serve as a central gateway for internal knowledge and be deployed in a dedicated Google Cloud tenant environment for security.
