The Renewed Hope Students’ Engagement and Digital Acceleration Programme was held at the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus (UNEC), bringing together student leaders and young Nigerians from the South-East. The event, championed by Hon. Comr. Sunday Asefon, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Students’ Engagement, allowed students to interact with Federal Government representatives and learn about opportunities under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration. Asefon urged students to actively seek opportunities and acquire relevant skills. Students shared testimonies about the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), expressing satisfaction with its newly introduced monthly stipends. NELFUND Managing Director Akintunde Sawyerr disclosed that more than 1.7 million students had applied for the loan scheme, with about 1.5 million applications already processed.
