Anthropic is now pacing to generate more than $100 billion in annual revenue, up 50% from just two months ago, the New York Times reported Friday. The company's growth is accelerating as it heads for what could be the largest initial public offering in history. Anthropic didn't exist six years ago, and by the end of this year it could be one of America's 50 largest companies by revenue and ten largest by market capitalization. The revenue pace is more than 10x where the company was at the end of 2025, driven by the Claude Code and Cowork products fueling broad enterprise adoption. Anthropic is still pursuing an IPO despite recent controversy over AI safety and the pace of frontier model development, with a schedule that would have shares trading by sometime in November. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman recently said his own lab won't go public this year amid those same safety concerns.
