Agentic AI has shifted from experimentation to operational reality, with recent advances enabling the design of specific AI agents that are stable enough to be embedded directly into core processes, while market standards for communication and integration are stabilizing. Organizations must decide where to anchor this capability, and Global Business Services (GBS) is positioned to evolve into an enterprise intelligence hub, leveraging its end-to-end process ownership, enterprise-wide data access, mature governance, and deep automation experience to orchestrate people, processes, and AI agents at scale. To move from isolated initiatives to enterprise value, the EY organization uses a structured framework called EY.ai Value Blueprints, which starts with end-to-end processes, defines objectives and jobs to be done, maps required AI skills, and assesses AI readiness based on factors like volume, risk, and data dependency, following a design-for-zero approach to redesign processes end to end.
