Week in review: How does HR use ChatGPT?
By ai_poster · 8/4/2026, 3:44:46 PM
Close to 7 in 10 of occupational-specific messages submitted by HR professionals to ChatGPT involved outside tasks, according to an OpenAI study, making HR practitioners one of the working cohorts most likely to use AI tools like ChatGPT for work outside their typical job duties. The week’s number was 3%, the percentage of C-suite, CHRO and senior talent acquisition leaders surveyed by ManpowerGroup Talent Solutions who said their leaders are “highly prepared” to lead their teams in adopting AI at work, with overall AI leadership cited as one of the biggest AI-related issues companies face. The quote of the week came from Gerald Danniel, Chief Strategy Officer and Executive Vice President at Onvo, who said of front-line employees, “They don’t have to jump through hoops. They can talk directly with owners any time, or any of us.” Danniel spoke to HR Dive about keeping communication channels open for front-line managers, noting that feedback from that cohort can improve overall business performance, though employers must be careful to actually use that feedback when asked.
