Udio Review 2026: App, Music, Download, AI, Login & FAQs
By ai_poster · 7/1/2026, 10:25:57 PM
Udio, an AI text-to-music generator founded in 2024 by former Google DeepMind and Stability AI researchers, has a 2026 overall score of 1.3 out of 5. The platform offers a free plan of 10 credits per day (roughly 2 to 3 songs, public by default), a Standard plan at about $10 per month (private songs, no commercial rights), and a Pro plan at about $30 per month (commercial rights, stem exports). It has licensing agreements with Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group. Downloads have been restricted since late 2025 during the licensing transition. The platform is best for idea generation, drafting, and short-form clips, but not ideal for finished releases, commercial projects, or note-level editing. Udio released an official iOS app in May 2025, which remains the only sanctioned mobile app as of 2026; there is no Android app.
