According to an article on The Drum, LinkedIn is now part of the AI search footprint. Semrush analyzed 89,000 LinkedIn URLs cited across ChatGPT Search, Google AI Mode and Perplexity and found it ranked second among all cited domains globally, appearing in around 11% of AI responses on average. G2’s 2026 report, *The Answer Economy: How AI Search Is Rewiring B2B Software Buying*, found that 51% of B2B software buyers now start their research with an AI chatbot more often than Google, up from 29% in 2025. Twenty One Twelve founder Henry McIntosh explains that LinkedIn is a trust channel where AI search rewards evidence, not vague positioning. The Semrush analysis found that original posts and articles dominate AI citations, while reshares barely register, and educational and advice-led content performs strongly.
