At the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC), Ant Group Digital Technologies unveiled its "Business Agent Super Factory" strategy, aiming to establish a China-specific industry-standard Harness by combining vertical large language models (LLMs) with engineering capabilities. Sun Lei, Vice President of Ant Group Digital Technologies, stated the goal is to tackle deployment challenges in finance, healthcare, and energy, emphasizing financial-grade security compliance, professional accuracy exceeding 90%, and a "value delivery, pay-for-performance" business model. The company launched its application platform, Agentar2.0, pre-loaded with nearly 200 job-level digital expert templates and hundreds of subscribable skill-level tools. Meanwhile, Alibaba and Tencent clashed head-to-head on the exhibition floor with desktop agents and hardware; Tencent launched WorkBuddy and its X-AI memory glasses, while Alibaba showcased Qwen Office and upgraded AI agent glasses. Global active agents are projected to surpass 2.2 billion by 2030, as the industry pivots from a model arms race to delivering tangible business value.
