AI startup Doctronic is partnering with at-home health screening platform Simple HealthKit to offer consumers end-to-end diagnostic screening integrated with virtual clinical care. Simple HealthKit provides at-home testing services where consumers privately collect samples (blood, urine or saliva) and mail them to a certified lab, with screening programs across diabetes, chronic kidney disease, colorectal cancer, cervical cancer, sexually transmitted infections and other preventive health conditions. Doctronic, available in all 50 states and being tested by the state of Utah to refill prescriptions, touts itself as the first AI system legally authorized to practice medicine in the U.S., offering a free personal AI doctor via chatbot. Patients will first purchase the Simple HealthKit test and are then directed to Doctronic after results, where the AI will already be aware of the test results and guide the patient through the medical evaluation. Patients with positive findings are referred back to Doctronic for clinical follow-up care, creating a continuous, closed-loop care experience. Simple HealthKit co-founder and CEO Sheena Menezes stated the partnership is initially focused on conditions for greatest immediate impact across national health plan and retail partnerships, with plans to expand. Doctronic co-CEO Adam Oskowitz noted that in the near future, they will also direct at-risk patients to Simple HealthKit for at-home testing.
